How the process works…
When you’re ready to start on your new adventure, the first step is contacting me. We’ll start by meeting for an informal chat over coffee to talk about you and your goals and how I can help you achieve them. If you decide to go ahead and book some sessions then we arrange a regular session day and time to meet that's convenient for the both of us.
Depending on why you want personal training (fitness, weight loss or rehab), your first session will be an assessment of your current level of fitness. This helps me program your subsequent sessions so they are challenging but not unachievable. If you are interested in nutrition and changing your diet, I shall give you a daily food diary to fill out over the course of the week. This has two functions. When looking back over it, you yourself may see areas you could work on and I can see how to support you with that.
If you are a runner looking for coaching, we would start by talking about realistic goals and pacing. I would then design a bespoke running training plan where I would run with you once a week and set you homework runs to complete in your own time. I would also be able to advise on your running form if necessary. If you are a super speedy runner already, no problem, static coaching would be the way forward. If there is a group of you, fantastic! The more the merrier!
